One Sea.
All Generations.
We are on a mission to pass on knowledge of the marine conservation to future generations
Because there is One Sea for All Generations.
Our Mission
We are a NGO committed to educating young generations living in the Coral Triangle area in South East Asia, about conservation, restoration and sustainable use of oceans.
We empower locals to become advocates of the marine protection cause amongst their community. We provide them with educational programs that support them in raising awareness and passing on knowledge.
Why: One Sea – All Generations
Healthy oceans and seas are essential to our existence. They cover two-thirds of our blue planet and contain most of the life on Earth. We rely on them for our survival. Yet, we have managed to do tremendous damage to these precious resources. We must protect them, restore damaged underwater worlds, eliminate marine pollution and responsibly manage and protect all marine life around the world.
There are many ways to help, individually and as an NGO, through direct actions, political advocacy, research, funding, … We chose to focus our mission on education because we trust humans and their potential to change the world into a better place.
We have identified the Coral Triangle as the region with the highest potential for change:
It is the planet's richest centre of marine life and coral diversity, with over 6,000 species of fish, 76% of the world's coral species, and an awe-inspiring array of wildlife.
The Philippines, which is part of the Coral Triangle, is one of the top 3 countries with the highest marine pollution in the world, along with China and India.
Education of unprivileged local populations is lacking content on environment and marine ecosystems.
